This former authentic pump house, which was used for the farmers’ steam locomotive, is therefore directly adjacent to an old railway embankment. This forms a beautiful parting with our only neighbours. Privacy is absolutely guaranteed.
The cottage has thick (natural) stone walls and a high ceiling. The rustic kitchenette is equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator, freezer (for those who feed fresh food to their dogs), oven, coffee maker and a kettle. It’s also sufficiently prepared with utensils, pots and pans.
From the cosy living room, you walk via the stairs to the bedroom on the mezzanine, where a lovely double bed (160 x 200) awaits you. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and a washbasin.
There is a covered terrace located at the back of the house. Around the house, there is a large, fully fenced garden with garden furniture, loungers, parasol and a picnic table. There is enough space for your car. You can enjoy a barbecue and light a fire in the huge chimney outside the house.
Two streets away is a little supermarket. A bakery and butcher are located in the neighbouring village of Montigny-sur-Aube. 15 km further on, you’ll find a very large supermarket with a gas station.
Gas, water, electricity, firewood and WiFi are included in the rental price. There are also facilities for your four-legged friends: food and drink troughs, benches, a freezer for your fresh raw food, a brain teaser, dog toys and blankets for when your dogs are allowed on the couch.
